Of course I don’t know what is going to happen in my future, but I do know what I want to happen. When I get older I plan to join the Marines to help pay for my college. Then I want to enroll in a 4 year masters degree program in education. I have always wanted to join the military and I have wanted to be a teacher since fifth grade. I also want to try to get a scholarship in high school to further help pay for college.

The reason I want to be a teacher is because I really want to make a difference in a child’s life, I want to make school something that kids enjoy and benefit from at the same time. My fifth grade teacher was a big inspiration for me. She is a veteran and a huge breast cancer supporter. Every Friday in our class it was kind of a tradition to wear pink to support breast cancer and I still do it today. In her class we always had fun and we learned a lot, she taught us good values and respect. That’s the kind of teacher I want to be, a fun teacher.

One of the reasons I want to join the Marines is because several of my family members are veterans. Another reason is I want to make a difference in the world, I want to help people. I want to travel and experience different cultures and places. Joining the military would be a great way to do that. Hopefully I will be able to achieve my goals and have fun doing it. 🙂

Student blogging challenge: Commenting

The thing I enjoyed about commenting was reading things about people in other countries and hearing their point of view. Something annoying about commenting is sometimes it doesn’t show my comment even though I commented. As I was commenting, I read through some very interesting posts. I read about someone who wanted to travel, she was from Ireland, and someone wrote about the presidential campaign in the U.S, someone also wrote about a fun activity they do at school. My posts are getting some pretty good comments when I post things for class, especially poems or other writings. I really enjoyed commenting and reading about other people in other places.
